Kaal Sarp Puja cost: what affects it and what is included
Sun, 25 October 2026 · By Pandit Ravi Guruji
Two quotes for the same puja can differ for sound reasons. This guide explains what shapes the cost, how group and separate pujas compare and what to ask before paying.
Why there is no single figure
There is no single price for Kaal Sarp Shanti, because the word puja can describe quite different arrangements. The number of pandits, the materials, the time given to your family and any added rites can all change the final amount.
They can change, so they are not repeated here. Check them there and confirm the amount before you book.

What usually shapes the amount
These points most often change a quote:
- Group or separate: whether your family shares the rite with others or has it alone
- Pandits: how many take part, and for how long
- Samagri: whether the materials are included in the quote
- Silver naag: whether the silver snake figures used in the rite are included, and how many
- Dakshina: whether it is part of the quote or offered separately
- Food and stay: whether these are arranged for you or left to you

Group puja or separate puja?
In a group puja, several families sit for the rite together at a shared time. It generally costs less [TO VERIFY] and suits people who are comfortable with a fixed schedule. In a separate puja, the pandits are with your family alone, which allows a more personal pace and more room for questions, and it usually costs more.
Many families decide on budget, comfort and who is travelling. Tradition places weight on sincerity, so please do not read a higher fee as a sign of a better result. Guruji can explain both options, and the Kaal Sarp puja page sets out the steps.

What to ask before paying
These questions help you compare quotes fairly:
- What exactly is included, and what costs extra?
- How many pandits will take part, and how long will it last?
- Is the date confirmed, and is it a group or separate puja?
- How much advance is needed, and when is the balance due?
- What happens if we need to change the date or cancel?
- Will we receive the details and a receipt in writing?

Making a calm decision
Take care with any quote that comes with pressure to decide quickly, and with anyone who promises a specific result in return for a higher payment. Asking for an itemised quote is entirely reasonable.
Some families also ask whether a Rahu Ketu puja is relevant to them, and you can discuss this with Guruji. Once you have your answers, share your dates on the contact page and ask for the full details in writing.
